Darkblade Systems is teaming and collaborating with Shenandoah University’s Shenandoah Center for Immersive Learning (SCiL) to pioneer the creation of immersive human-based mixed-reality learning experiences and immersive virtual/augmented reality (VR/AR) work environments.
Darkblade Systems and SCiL are combining the power of story with the use of innovative mixed/cross reality tools and techniques to create immersive experiences. Through the implementation of story-based experiences, our team transforms ideas into living experiences enabling users to expand accessibility and transcend geographical barriers.
Our team fosters human-to-human connectivity by enabling visceral learning and collaborative mixed/cross reality simulated and real-world first-person work environments. Using our story-based mixed/cross reality capabilities, instructors can tailor realistic and relevant training situations where student viscerally feel a sense of presence within the experience, at a fraction of the cost associated with in-person meetings or real-world training.
The Mission of SCiL: Shenandoah Center for Immersive Learning (SCIL) empowers others to create human-to-human connectivity within mixed realities, transforming ideas into living experiences through immersive technology. Founded at Shenandoah University, SCIL is a student-run production company driven by a brain trust of industry experts.
SCiL Awards: SCiL has received awards for both the Virginia Foundation for Independent Colleges’ H. Hiter Harris III Excellence in Instructional Technology Award and the Cadence’s Innovation in Higher Education Award
