Darkblade Systems Earns the 2018 DoD Mentor Protégé Program – Nunn Perry Award

April 2019

Darkblade Systems is proud to be a recipient of the DoD 2018 Nunn-Perry Award.

The Nunn-Perry Award is an award named in honor of retired U.S. Senator Sam Nunn, who sponsored legislation to enact the Mentor-Protégé Program (MPP) in 1991, and former Secretary of Defense William Perry.  Nunn-Perry Awards are the highest honor companies can receive in the MPP.

This highly sought-after award is presented each year to select DoD Mentor-Protégé teams, from across the Department of Defense (DoD), that have demonstrated that they are the “best and the brightest” through exceptional progress in improving the technical capabilities, cost effectiveness, and increased business opportunities for small businesses to expand their footprint in the defense industrial base.

The DoD Mentor-Protégé Program assists small businesses in successfully competing for prime contracts and subcontracts by partnering them with large companies. Successful mentor-protégé agreements provide a winning relationship for the protégé, the mentor and the DoD.

This award is in recognition of the excellent Mentor-Protégé relationship between Darkblade Systems and our mentor, Booz Allen Hamilton.  Our partnership “demonstrated exemplary results in the areas of technical assistance, return on investment, quality and protégé development.”

Darkblade Systems Corporation is an award-winning Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business focused on operationalizing technologies to secure the nation.
